Jaxon

iBOT Personal Mobility Device

Jaxon grew up in East Earl, Pennsylvania, where he lives with his big family. Alongside his six siblings, all of whom have special needs and were adopted by their amazing mom, Rachel, Jaxon enjoys an active and fulfilling life. Born with Spina Bifida and unable to walk, Jaxon doesn't let that slow him down. He's a dedicated wheelchair basketball player for the PA Lions and is teaching himself to play the piano. Outside of school, he loves riding four-wheelers and hanging out with friends.

"As far as things I like to do with family I like to hang out with my brothers and talk about sports. We live in a split level house and it is rare that I go to the basement because of steps. I think the IBOT chair would change that for me. In our backyard we have a swing set and trampoline and a pool. Also we have a barn. But that stuff is pretty much impossible for me to get to because of rough terrain. But not with the IBOT. I think it will change my life by making it easier for me to get to places with rough terrain or stairs. It will make it so that my family will not have to constantly help me push up a steep hill or rough terrain."

In the future, Jaxon aspires to become a supercar designer for Lamborghini, driven by his passion for music and cars. He spends his free time listening to music and researching supercars. Jaxon's advice to others is to not to let disabilities hinder their dreams and pursuits. He dreams of traveling the world to spread the gospel, confident that he will find a way to make a positive impact.

American Mobility Project is proud to provide Jaxon with an equipment grant for an iBOT Personal Mobility Device. We can't wait to see all the new adventures Jaxon will embark on with the independence the iBOT offers. Congratulations, Jaxon!
